Updates
So I've not really been around on the site for a good few months now. I guess just things are changing and I'm getting busy with other things. I'm still keeping Sparkbright going - we've got a new issue due out in June, and we're closing for submissions for that issue at the start of May.
I'm in my final term of university, so I'm busy looking for a job. If you've been following me for a while you might remember me doing an internship at a literary agency last summer, or my stint at Oxford University Press. They were great experiences and I've got a few more placements lined up for this summer, but I'm hoping to find some paid work before to
Happy December!

We'll be wanting writing for issue 6, so get writing, yeah?

Hello!
I feel like I dropped off the face of the planet for a little while.
Actually, I went away for a week, visiting the boyfriend, and then my best friend for her 21st birthday. And then I've been caught up in NaNoWriMo, which (thankfully) is still on course - 37,000 words so far. The 30k's have been tricky for me. I've completely fallen out of love with my story, and it's becoming more and more difficult to get started each day. I'm hoping that once I hit 40k, I'll be like WOOHOO ALMOST DONE and then I'll sprint to the finish line and all will be well with the world. And then I'll just have to persevere a little longer to get to the end of the
Devious Journal Entry
Blah.
I've been writing things I shouldn't.
However, they are some pretty great poems, if I say so myself. I'm pleased with them, anyway. Really pleased. They leave me with a sense of accomplishment, even though it's not quite right. They're too closely tied in with life.
On a different note, my NaNoWriMo is going pretty well. Though today I've hit a real stumbling block and have only written about 500 words - if that. So... I'm feeling a bit stressed about that, because the last several days have been pretty easy for me. I'm on 20,000 words, which is great. But I'm away next week, so will have very little time for writing.
Ugh. My poems

I'm just happy that A4 is a pre-programmed Photoshop default.
Out of curiosity...are you going to publish it as a big .pdf file? Also out of curiosity, have you had a lot of entries yet? I'm almost done with mine. (Hoorah!)
I think the mag sounds really cool. I'll be looking forward to its release.
